Omar Cortés Gaibur


Director of the National Office of Religious Affairs
Omar Cortés Gaibur is director of the National Office of Religious Affairs of the Government of Chile. He is the former executive director of ADIR Chile (Interreligious Dialogue Association for Human Development); and a professor of Sciences of Religion and Ethics at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of Chile. Cortés Gaibur graduated from Catholic University of Chile with a degree in philosophy and education, earned a master’s degree in theology from Regent College in Canada, and completed a master in Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue at ISCREB in Spain. He has three children and three grandchildren.
