Nelly Cedeño de Paredes


Magistrate, Superior Family Court

Nelly Cedeño de Paredes earned a degree in law and political science from the National University of Panama and holds a master’s degree in family orientation from Santa María La Antigua University. She also has a doctorate in procedural law, with a specialization in mediation. Cedeño has served as an administrator of justice for 38 years in various positions, including as magistrate of Panama’s Superior Family Court. Cedeño is also a professor at Santa María La Antigua University, teaching procedural law, family law, and successions. She has lectured nationally and internationally—on the family, mediation, and human rights—and has received national and international recognition for her work in family law.
