Matthieu M. Kalota graduated in economic and social law from the Protestant University in the Congo (UPC) in 2007. He has been a lawyer at the Bar of Kinshasa since 2008 and serves as local counsel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). He is a cofounder of MKK LAW Firm. Kalota obtained a degree in development sciences and techniques in 2017 at the Faculty Institute of Development, Department of Project Management and Administration, in Kinshasa. He has a Master II in international and comparative environmental law from the University of Limoges in France (2019). Kalota is a member of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society (JRCLS), Union of Young Lawyers of the Kinshasa Bar (UJABK), and International Union of Lawyers (UIA).
