Javier Saldaña Serrano

Javier Saldaña Serrano has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, with Honorable Mention in the 1991 qualifying exam. Javier also has a Doctor of Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Navarra, Pamplona, Spain, with the qualification of apto cum laude (1995). He is coauthor with Cristobal Orrego of the book State Power and Religious Freedom and author of The Regulation of the Law of Religious Associations and Public Worship. He is a Level II National Researcher for the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT). Javier is currently a full-time permanent “B” researcher at the Legal Research Institute of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
