Sharman Blood

Conference Liaison

Sharman Blood joined the International Center for Law and Religion Studies in May 2017 as a Conference Liaison with particular responsibility for assisting in coordinating and organizing the annual International Law and Religion Symposium as well as other conferences worldwide. After graduating from BYU with a BA in history, Sharman moved to Washington, DC, where she worked in the Office of Public Liaison at the White House and later as a research assistant for a policy research group. She and her husband then moved to San Francisco where they spent the next 28 years and raised four children. While in the Bay Area, Sharman earned an MA in education from Stanford University, and taught high school for several years, working with at-risk students. She also owned her own bookkeeping business working with medical practices, venture capitalists, a law firm, and various other small businesses. Sharman served for a time as the Public Affairs Director for the San Francisco Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints working with various civic and religious organizations and community groups. She served an LDS mission in the France, Toulouse Mission and still speaks a little French. In 2015, she and her husband moved to Highland, Utah. Sharman enjoys spending time with her husband Jim, and their four children, traveling, learning, and reading.
