2019 Botswana Enrichment Extension Tour

May 18-30, 2019

Botswana, Zimbabwe, and South Africa

Many of our International Advisory Council members attended the African Consortium for Law and Religion Studies (ACLARS)Annual Conference in Gabarone, Botswana and then participated in an Enrichment Extension from May 18–30, 2019.

Extensions are coordinated around a regional conference and are an opportunity for IAC members to witness the work of the Center and learn more about religious freedom efforts in other parts of the world.

The enrichment tour included a visit to Chobe National Park, home to Africa’s largest elephant population, and a visit to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

The trip ended in Cape Town, South Africa. Among the sites visited in Cape Town was Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years.
