Elisabeth Morris is a law student at BYU who is interested in International Information Law, Cultural Property Law, and Religious Freedom. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Sociocultural Anthropology and Portuguese Studies at BYU. As part of her undergraduate studies, she developed and conducted an ethnographic research study that focused on the role of ethnic churches as vehicles for the preservation and transmission of identity among first-generation Brazilian Americans living in Utah. Elisabeth believes religion not only provides for spiritual needs but is a foundation for communities and societies worldwide. For her, protecting religious freedom is imperative. During her spare time, Elisabeth loves hiking, biking, rockhounding, listening to Bossa Nova, and museum exhibit design.
