The 16th Sixteenth Annual International Law and Religion Symposium of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies (ICLRS) will take place 4-6 October 2009 at the J. Reuben Clark Law School on the campus of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. This year’s Symposium, “Connecting Communities of Discourse: How the Judiciary, Academia, Government, and International Institutions Further the Work of Religious Freedom,” will bring together leading experts – scholars, judges, and government and religious leaders – from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, North and South America, and the Pacific to discuss challenges and successes in implementing principles of religious liberty. Keynote addresses will be delivered byAnastasia Crickley, Chairperson of the European Union Fundamental Rights Agency, and the Hon. Justice Pius Nkonzo Langa, Chief Justice of the South Africa Constitutional Court in the Sunday-evening opening session, convening at 7 pm MDT (GMT-6) on 4 October.
