Roman Podoprigora, Judge, Constitutional Court

Roman Podoprigora is a judge for the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a professor of law at Caspian University. He was a director of the Public Law Research Institute at Caspian University from 2020 to 2023 and a member of the advisory council under the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2008 to 2023. From 2000 to 2010, he served on the advisory council for the Panel of Experts on Freedom of Religion or Belief at the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Podoprigora has authored numerous publications concerning freedom of religion and state-church relations and has extensive legal experience in this field.
