Rachel Sackett is a first-year student at the J. Reuben Clark Law School interested in practicing corporate transactional law. She received her bachelor’s degree in History and Political Studies from Queen’s University (Ontario), where she graduated on the Dean’s Honour List. Prior to law school Rachel worked on the business development team at Covington & Burling in Washington, DC, where she prepared proposals and pitches for the firm’s corporate clients. While at law school she helped organize the BYU Blockchain Summit which brought scholars and business leaders across the country together to discuss the future of blockchain. Rachel was born and raised on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada where she developed a love of hiking, kayaking and spending as much time as possible outdoors. She loves travelling, having been to nearly thirty countries, and is thrilled to be in Moscow this summer as she has long loved Russian history and literature.
