Rabbis to hold international meeting in Berlin on circumcision ban

Jewish religious leaders will meet in Berlin on 10 July in order to protest against a German court decision which ruled against performing circumcision on baby boys. The head of the Conference of European Rabbis considers the decision by a court in Cologne in June as a part of a trend to limit religious freedom in Europe that was targeting Jewish and Muslim traditions such as circumcision and the religious slaughter of animals for meat.
