Pranav Desai is a prominent figure in both the corporate world and the community sphere. As the director of BAPS Hindu Mandir, Abu Dhabi, he plays a pivotal role in leading the public and government relations team and managing media affairs. Mr. Desai’s dedication extends beyond the temple as he actively collaborates with Indian community leaders across the UAE, fostering social, cultural, and spiritual connections. He served and supported hundreds of community members during the COVID-19 pandemic under the guidance of his spiritual guru His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj. Under the leadership of Reverend Brahmavihari Swamiji, head of BAPS Hindu Mandir, Mr. Desai has a strong presence in interfaith dialogues: He has attended numerous conferences in the UAE and he regularly interacts with religious leaders from other faiths. In his professional life, Mr. Desai has been a program manager with Abu Dhabi Investment Authority since 2010, contributing to the success of this prestigious institution. On a personal note, he is married to Shaily Desai (Majmudar), who serves as academics services manager at Abu Dhabi Women’s College, Higher Colleges of Technology. She is also an active volunteer and a leading female figure at BAPS Hindu Mandir. Together, they are a dynamic force in making a positive impact in both the academic and cultural realms of Abu Dhabi.
