The International Center for Law and Religion Studies – as a formal entity since 2000, and before that as the work, beginning in 1994, of Professor Cole Durham and others at Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School – has sponsored an Annual International Law and Religion Symposium.
The conferences have attracted, as of October 2014, more than 1053 key scholars and human rights workers, judges from constitutional and supreme courts, and government ministers charged with handling religious affairs for their countries, coming to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, from 120 countries.
