Natalina Edward Mou

Ambassador, South Sudan Embassy, Ethiopia and Djibouti

Natalina Edward Mou is a South Sudanese diplomat who is currently serving as the director of international organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. She was appointed as an ambassador in 2012 and has held several positions in the Ministry, including director of services and social affairs and director of immunity and privileges. From 2014 to 2021, she served as the deputy head of mission at the Embassy of South Sudan in Rome, Italy, and held various positions in Rome-based UN agencies. From 2009 to 2010, Ambassador Mou served as acting director-general of special programs at the Office of the President. She has worked in various capacities for different organizations from 1995 to 2010, including consulting for PACT, UNESCO Peer, and WODRANS and working for WFP and UNICEF in South Sudan. She also worked as a project officer for women’s projects and as a liaison officer for SUPRAID in Nairobi, Kenya, from 1993 to 1994. As a founding member and member of the board of directors of SUPRAID, she played a significant role in developing the SUPRAID constitution and obtaining legal registration of the organization with Kenyan authorities. Ambassador Mou earned a master’s degree in history from John Cabot University in Rome, Italy (2020). She also holds a master’s in diplomacy and international relations from the University of Nairobi (2016). She received her bachelor’s degree in history and English language from the University of Juba (1991).
