Associate Professor, American University of Central Asia
Natalia Alenkina is an associate professor at the American University of Central Asia and a licensed advocate in Kyrgyz law. She serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic. She is accredited by the Ministry of Justice as a legal and human rights expert. Natalia is also a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and acts as the Vienna International Arbitral Centre’s Ambassador in Kyrgyzstan. She contributed to the drafting of the Civil Procedure Code and the Law on Mediation of Kyrgyzstan and is currently advising the Ministry of Justice on the implementation of the Singapore Convention on Mediation. Her research focuses on alternative dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation, the privatization of justice, and legal pluralism.
