Mustafa Saldirim teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the fields of civil procedure law and enforcement and bankruptcy law. From 2014 to 2024, he served as deputy secretary general of the Court of Cassation of the Republic of Türkiye; during this period, he carried out projects supported by the European Union and the United Nations and was responsible for international relations, laws, judicial reform, and strategic planning. He worked as a public prosecutor (1995–2002), as an investigating judge responsible for the education of convicts at the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses (2002–2007), and as an investigating judge at the Court of Cassation (2007–2014). He received his master’s degree (1998) and PhD (2004) at Ankara University Faculty of Law. He also participated in the one-year arbitration and commercial law programs of the Banking and Commercial Law Research Institute of Ankara University Faculty of Law and the European Union and international relations program of the European Communities Research and Application Center. Mr. Saldirim received mediation training at the Singapore Mediation Center and participated in the mediation training program in Türkiye, after which he became a certified mediator. In November and December 2017, he conducted research at the Council of Europe Enforcement Office and observed practices regarding the execution of ECHR decisions and the working system of the Council of Ministers of the European Union. Mr. Saldirim has published books and articles in various areas of law, organized voluntary public outreach programs to develop young people’s understanding of law and justice, and presented numerous papers at national and international meetings. He is married and has two children.
