Marisa Gonzalez-Mabbutt

Part-Time Secretary

Marisa Gonzalez is a senior at Brigham Young University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in international relations with an emphasis in Latin American studies. She is the youngest of four daughters and her family has continually supported her in her academic ambitions, many of which have included internships and research programs. Last summer, Marisa went to Thailand to examine the relationship between cultural values and democratic support as part of her Honors Thesis. Previously, she worked for an import/export group in Madrid, Spain, and has also interned for the State Department’s Economic Bureau in Washington, D.C. as part of the BYU Washington Seminar Program. In her spare time, Marisa loves to impress her friends with movie trivia, spend time playing volleyball with her family, and, when time allows, work on her language skills while watching Korean dramas.
