The 20th Annual International Law and Religion Symposium will convene Sunday evening, 6 October 2013, in a session webcast live in seven languages from the Moot Court Room of the J. Reuben Clark Law School on the campus of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Delivering keynote addresses at the session will be  Françoise Tulkens, ad hoc judge and former Vice President of the European Court of Human Rights, and Malcolm Evans, OBE, Professor of Public International Law at the University of Bristol Law School and Chair of the United Nations Sub Committee for the Prevention of Torture.

The theme of this year’s conference is Religion and Human Rights, chosen for its timeliness and urgency, and also in acknowlegment of the 1700th anniversary of the proclamation of the Edict of Milan, the 313 A.D. agreement between the Roman Emperors of the East and the West that granted religious freedom throughout the Roman Empire.
