After being accused by candidate Rodrigo Maia (DEM) of using evangelicals and homossexuals to receive more votes during the national free air time, Electoral Judge Luiz Fernando Pinto allowed Eduardo Paes (PMDB) one minute to rebut the allegations during his opponents’ campaign air time. Eduardo Paes is currently the mayor of the city of Rio de Janeiro and is running for the office for the second time. The allegations were made by former governor and congressman Anthony Garotinho (PR).
