

Harlan was born in Hawaii, and graduated with a BA from BYU and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota. He became a partner at Oles Morrison working as a litigator specializing in environmental issues. In 1996, he was recruited to serve as general counsel for a resource recovery startup based in Lehi Utah. As the company grew, Harlan helped take it public, and eventually helped negotiate its sale in 2018.
RaDene was raised on a dairy farm in Hooper, Utah, and earned a BA in Business and Political Science from Utah State University and a MA in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota. She began her career as mother, home remodeler, and community organizer. RaDene and Harlan have served three full time LDS missions–two service missions from home and one mission in St. Louis, Missouri. They love traveling with family and friends and making meals and memories with their children and grandchildren.
