The Reverend Dr. Dexter Sudarsan Maben holds a doctorate in New Testament from the Kirchliche Hochschule Bethel in Bielefeld, Germany. He is known for his editorial and scholarly contributions, notably the book Borders and Margins: Re-Visioning Ministry and Mission, which explores theological engagement from the perspective of marginalized communities. The work emphasizes the importance of diverse voices and the need to reimagine ministry in ways that are authentic and transformative. Rev. Dr. Maben’s theological work is deeply rooted in themes of justice, marginality, and transformative ministry. His roles include associate professor of New Testament and chair of the Department of Biblical Studies at United Theological College in Bangalore, India. He has also been the secretary for the Society for Biblical Studies in India and presbyter-in-charge at St. Andrew’s Church in Bangalore.
