Dave Colton has supported the Center since its formation. He began service as President of the Center’s International Advisory Council in April 2018. During 2015-2017 Dave and his wife, Julie, served as Government Relations Specialists assigned to the United Nations in New York City, representing the David M. Kennedy Center and the International Center for Law and Religion Studies. Both Dave and Julie are graduates from BYU. Dave a graduate of the J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1982, retired as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold Company (which acquired Phelps Dodge Corporation, the company he worked for prior to that time) in 2007. Dave and Julie are the parents of nine married children and currently have 24 grandchildren.
