Bruce & Denise Duffield

Bruce has practiced as a trial lawyer in Chicago for 50 years, currently as Senior Counsel at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner and previously as Partner at Lord Bissell & Brook. He and Denise served as President and Matron of the Chicago Illinois Temple from 2019 to 2022. Bruce serves on the executive committees of the Council of Religious Leaders of Metropolitan Chicago, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Advisory Committee, the Naperville Interfaith Leaders Association, and is active in many interfaith organizations in Chicago and nationally. He received his BA summa cum laude from BYU and his JD magna cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1976 as a member of the Charter Class.

Denise received her nursing degree from UTC (now UVU). After moving to Chicago, she focused on raising her four children and now is the proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren. She served in many church leadership roles, including Matron of the Chicago Illinois Temple. She and Bruce are very involved with interfaith and community relations with many religious and civic organizations. Denise and Bruce produce The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints annual interfaith symposium in Chicago.
