Brazil: Court rules against university that failed to reschedule exam for Sabbath observers

On August 15, 2013, a Brazilian court ruled that Sabbath observers have the right to reschedule exams and that universities have the duty to respect students’ faith and freedom to act in accordance with their religions. Justice Souza Prudente pointed out that the decision issued by the court upholds constitutional principles of equality, morality and freedom of religion.
