Ahmed Salisu Garba

Ahmed Salisu Garba earned his first and second degrees in law from the University of Jos and his PhD from Bayero University in Kano, Nigeria. His research interests include law and religion, constitutional law, law and public policy, international law and religion, and Islamic law. Professor Garba has written and presented many papers in the UK, the USA, and Africa on the intersection of law and religion, including in matters of religion and global policy. In addition, he has published in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Professor Garba was a visiting scholar at the University of Iowa College of Law from August to December 2013. He was a fellow of the ICLRS Young Scholars Fellowship on Religion and the Rule of Law at Oxford from July to August 2018. He was formerly the dean of law at Bauchi State University, Gadau, and now serves as deputy vice chancellor at the same institution.
