Adilson Leitão Silvestre de Almeida, Government Official, Angolan Ministry of Culture and Tourism
Adilson Leitão Silvestre de Almeida serves as director general of the Angolan National Institute for Religious Affairs. He is an elder (clergy) in the United Methodist Church and has served in several capacities, including his current role as president of the Board of Church and Society for the West Angola Annual Conference. He teaches theology, church history, philosophy, language, and New Testament and biblical Greek at the United Methodist University of Angola. He was previously a consultant in the SOL Bank Holding Company, CEO of the SOL Bank Foundation, and executive administrator of the SOL Bank Insurance Company. He earned a master’s degree in theological studies in a combined program between Africa University in Mutare, Zimbabwe, and the Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC; completed a postgraduate course in international relations and European studies from the University of Évora in Portugal; and received a degree in divinity from Africa University in Zimbabwe.
