Anna Mariya Basauri Ziuzina

Board Member, Workshop for the Academic Study of Religions
Anna Mariya Basauri Ziuzina is a board member of NGO Workshop for the Academic Study of Religions in Kyiv, Ukraine, and is a team member of the project “Religion on Fire.” Project “Religion on Fire” was launched after the full-scale invasion of Russia. It is aimed to record and document the damage suffered by religious buildings, as well as the killing, wounding, and abduction of religious leaders of various denominations. From 2009–2021 Anna worked as an associate professor at the department of theology and religious studies at National Pedagogical Dragomanov University in Kyiv, Ukraine. Now she is an affiliated scholar at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
