Report: Global Religious Diversity

Pew Research Center Report, 4 April 2014The Pew Research Center recently released an index that ranks every country in the world by its level of religious diversity. The study looks at the percentage of each country’s population from each of eight major religious groups: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism. The scores are higher as the balance among the different religious groups increases. The study also accounted for three additional groups: the religiously unaffiliated (including atheists and agnostics), adherents to folk religions, and adherents of all other religions (Baha’i, Jainism, Shintoism, etc.).
