The Brazilian Supreme Court has issued a statement informing Brazilian citizens that due to the large number of cases against corruption as part of the fight against bribery of public officials (also called ‘big monthly’ or mensalão) has created a huge backlog. Among the several cases awaiting a final judgment, the Brazilian Supreme Court has listed some on diversity of religion and religion in schools. The Ministry of Justice has declared these cases as ‘extremely important’ cases and announced that they are at the top of the list of cases to be judged next by the Court.
