The World Youth Day is an event organized by the Roman Catholic Church and will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2013 from July 23-28. The event will be Pope Benedict XVI’s first visit to Brazil and is supposed to attract over 2 million young adults from 190 countries – an estimate higher than the ones for the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics, both to take place in Rio as well.
