The Brazilian Federal Police has reopened the TV Record (former TV Rio) case. The television channel was bought by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) in 1992. Three authorities of the UCKG involved in the transaction are under investigation for money laundering charges. The crime of money laundering in Brazil has no limitation period.
