2008 Annual Symposium:
International Protection of Religious Freedom: National Implementation

Judges, government officials, and scholars gathered in Provo, Utah, USA, to address issues arising from attempts to implement international protections of religious freedom at a national level. Leading thinkers discussed evolving international approaches as well as presenting regional perspectives on emerging challenges to implementing religious freedom. National implementation is where the most critical issues arise in providing practical guarantees for freedom of religion or belief. National policy makers, judges, practitioners, and scholars provided diverse perspectives on the successes and challenges faced by nations throughout the world in implementing this important right.
