Following a mission to Chile, Marvin graduated with a degree in accounting from BYU. He obtained an MBA while working in the oil & gas industry for 35 years. During that time, he and Colleen lived in Ohio, Illinois, Texas, Japan, Ireland, Russia, and Equatorial Guinea. After retiring, they served as CES missionaries in the Spain, Barcelona mission.

While dedicating herself to raising their 3 children, Colleen taught piano and early morning seminary. She is currently the ward organist. Since 2020 Colleen and Marvin have been service missionaries working with BYU Pathway Worldwide.
