Johanna graduated from BYU with a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science. She worked in the medical field for only a few years before becoming a stay home mother for their five children. Johanna served as the bookkeeper for their several businesses as well as the lead on real estate projects. She also served a 2-year mission at FamilySearch.

Sheldon graduated from BYU with a BS in Electrical Engineering and the University of Utah with an MBA. He’s owned several businesses. The largest one he bootstrapped and ran for 20 years before selling it in 2018. He is now mostly retired and volunteers at Community Action counseling and teaching financial literacy.
