John Zackrison is a graduate of Brigham Young University and Harvard Law School. In legal practice, he was a partner of Kirkland & Ellis law firm in Washington D.C. and in Los Angeles, California. He served The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as Area Legal Counsel in Europe, as Executive Director of the International Coordinating Committee, as Mission President of the South Africa Durban Mission for two terms, and as Area Legal Counsel of the Africa Central Areas. He is currently retired.
