Eduardo Muga Melgarejo

Eduardo Muga Melgarejo is an attorney. He earned his law degree from the University of Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, as well as a master’s degree in public contracting from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC), and a master’s degree in civil and commercial law from Federico Villarreal National University. He currently serves as Director General of Justice and Religious Freedom at the Ministry of Justic and Human Rights in Peru. In this role, he is responsible for promoting and strengthening national and internation coordination efforts with public and private organizations at all levels related to the administration of justice, coordinating and promoting the quality of legal education and the practice of law, at the national level, and managing relations between the executive branch and religious entities. He has served in multiple advisory and legal roles across various ministries in Peru, including Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Justice, Advisor to the National Program for Action Platforms for Social Inclusion (PAIS) under the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion, a legal consultant for the national Program “Tu Empresa” under the Ministry of Production, Head of the Legal Advisory Office for the National Infrastructure Program PRONIED, under the Ministry of Education, Head of the Legal Advisory Office for the Office of Special Projects, under the Ministry of Culture, and Special Consultant in Public Works Execution, for the Safe Water Program for Lima and Callao.
