President, Islamic Scholar Union, Kurdistan Region

Abdullah Waise is a member of the teaching staff in the College of Islamic Sciences at Saladin University. In 2015 he completed a doctorate in comparative jurisprudence. Dr. Waise is president of the Union of Islamic Religious Scholars in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He has participated in many conferences abroad, including in the Republic of Türkiye, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Algeria, Belgium, and Russia. He has written more than 10 books and has had nine papers published in scientific and academic journals. Dr. Waise is interested in issues of coexistence and the rights of religious entities as well as contemporary Islamic issues.
