Dwight Newman

Dwight Newman, QC is Professor of Law & Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Rights in Constitutional and International Law at the University of Saskatchewan and a Munk Senior Fellow (Constitutional Law) at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute.  He holds a BA in Economics (Regina), JD (Saskatchewan), BCL, MPhil, DPhil (Oxford), with his doctoral work focused on theoretical approaches to rights of communities; he has also completed a GDipCS and is working toward an MATS from Regent College at UBC.  He has been a visiting fellow at several leading universities, including the James Madison Program at Princeton.
